EMF New Year’s Eve Gala

The Gala is held annually for sponsors and friends of the EMF organization. The Gala will include a dinner and a concert performed by EMF Feature Artists and EMF Traveling Orchestra and Chorus.

The New Year’s Gala will be held annually to thank our sponsors, as well as to take in donations for the next year of operations.

The Gala will also be a place to showcase new talent and artists that otherwise would not get the opportunity to perform. Because of the prohibiting costs of any individual performer renting a larger concert hall, hiring musicians and organizing a large recital, many new/young artists cannot afford to give a grand recital. In the world of classical music, recitals are the main way in which new artists get experience and notoriety in the performing world, and also the public. EMF’s goal is to provide exceptional artists with a means to be involved with a professional performance opportunity. The Gala will give these featured artists the unique opportunity to perform live at a celebrated venue, as well as with the support of a full orchestra and chorus. This will provide these artists with a truly spectacular backdrop to showcase their talents.

The Gala’s annual performance will also be professionally recorded and the featured artists will be provided a copy of this recording free of charge. As well, this recording will available for download and purchase from the EMF website. All donors who donate $100 or more for the year will also receive a complimentary copy of the recording.

Touring Chorus and Orchestra

EMF will fund both a full chorus and orchestra. Both of these groups will tour around the nation and provide concerts to the public free of charge. As well they will perform at the annual New Year’s Gala. These touring groups will provide valuable performance experience to its musicians.

As well, the Touring Groups will provide the public with an opportunity to hear amazing music that is rarely performed and not readily available in most areas in the country.

The Touring Group will travel mostly between the months of June through August. As well, locally they will give performances of seasonal repertoire during both the Easter and Christmas seasons. They will also perform at the New Year’s Gala.

Admittance to the group is by audition and invitation only. Members are expected to commit to the entire season, that is, February 1st through August 31st, and October 1st through December 31st. At the end of each season current members in good standing will be allowed to renew their contract in the group. Auditions for the touring groups will be held on the last week of January.
